Earlier, Anupam Kher released his poster with his goggles reflecting the Eyes of a Tiger, a poster   champion Mary Kom admitted, she simply loved.

Now, this poster again  using the goggles to tell a story, is making the netizens go crazy.

Yesterday, actor Akshay Kumar was shocked to see Anupam Kher’s six pack abs in the poster of Shiv Shastri Balboa!  He fondly told anupam Kher in his tweet…  “now stop it!” Illustrating how the versatile Anupam who is the No 1 actor of the year was now giving Akshay a beating even in the biceps arena.

Now, Neena Gupta’s quirky look is a rage.

For the uninitiated, Shiv Shastri Balboa is an inspirational film of a common man with uncommon adventures starring Anupam Kher, Neena Gupta, Jugal Hansraj, Nargis Fakhri, Sharib Hashmi. Presented by UFI Entertainment, Anupam Kher Studios and Tarun Rathi, Executive Producer: Ashutosh Bajpai.

Earlier, Mary Kom had released the film’s first poster. The event saw  Anupam Kher spar with Mary Kom in a with a friendly ring! this was followed by Anupam Kher’s bare-bodied poster with the pug in the poster exclaiming, “phata poster, nikla….” Looks like this takes Anupam Kher’s fitness and popularity to another level!

संवाददाता सम्मेलन के दौरान भोजपुरी फिल्म अवार्ड कमेटी ने बताया कि कोरोना की महामारी के चलते भोजपुरी फिल्म अवार्ड 3 वर्ष से संपन्न नहीं हो पाया था। इसलिए 2019 और 20 में रिलीज फिल्मों को एक साथ क्लब करके और 2021 में रिलीज फिल्म को क्रमशः नियमानुसार एक ही बार में 3 वर्ष के अवार्ड संपन्न कराए गए.. जिसके आधार पर प्रमोद शास्त्री द्वारा निर्देशित दोनो फिल्म ‘छलिया’ और ‘प्यार तो होना ही था’ को संयुक्त रूप से 6 अवार्ड मिले..

Avak Films In Association With Randeep Hooda Films & Jelly Bean Entertainment Presents Laal Rang 2

Avak Films who are making their debut in Bollywood has announced the film Laal Rang 2.  Actor Randeep Hooda returned his character  sequel of the 2016 film Laal Rang. The Avak Film production house announced the second part of the movie through social media. Randeep will also be producing Laal Rang 2 along with Yogesh Rahar & Panchali Chakraverty. Randeep Hooda’s character Shankar spread his charm and completely absorbed us into his blood transfusion racket where he plays both the devil and savior and owned the screen with his spontaneity and rustic appearance.

Yogesh Rahar of Avak films, who has himself debuted as a producer, has been a diehard fan of Laal Rang and has spearheaded the effort for the sequel. Laal Rang 2 : Khoon Chusva is produced by Randeep Hooda Films, Avak Films & Jelly Bean Entertainment Co Produced by Anwar Ali and Sonu Kuntal. The film is slated to go on the floor soon. Yogesh Rahar said, “It’s a great pleasure to associate with Randeep Hooda & Panchali Chakravarty. It’s a dream comes true & thank you to Anwar Ali ji and Sonu kuntal for his love and support”.

Akshay Oberoi and Pia Bajpiee will reprise their roles from the first part and search is on for the new additions to the second part.

Laal Rang, set in Haryana is a dark humoured drama which revolved around the blood trade business involving sentiments of friendship, brotherhood, love and greed. The film’s magic lay in its fresh, quirky content, dialogues and memorable characters, particularly that of Shankar, immortalised by Randeep Hooda.

This also sees him joining hands once again with the director, Syed Ahmad Afzal. Randeep is currently on a career high with his recent series CAT that is winning audiences across the world. On asking the actor about the recent endeavour, Randeep said “Shankar Malik is one character that will always stay close to my heart, the film even after 7 years stays relevant & has a dedicated fan-base to it. This is what has compelled me to embark on this new journey as a producer too with a lot of joy and a sense of responsibility towards it.”

The director Syed Ahmed Afzal fresh from the super success of Shiksha Mandal web series had this to say about Laal Rang 2, “We are extremely excited to begin the madness again, the storyline is dark, murky and lays the perfect plinth for an enchanting film and we once again have a chance to deliver something memorable. The essence of the sequel shall remain akin to the original. This sequel will be darker, meaner, violent and yet funny.”

Aqua Divine Fashion Show By Aneebee Entertainments Warms Up A Wintry Kolkata Evening

A glitzy `Aqua Divine Swimwear Fashion Show’ – organized by Aneebee Entertainments – warmed up a very happening Kolkata evening as foreign and Kolkata models scorched the ramp at a high voltage event hosted by The Westin Rajarhat and outfit partner Skycrew by Malobika.

Showstopper Malobika Banerjee’s presence only confirmed that a swimwear fashion show in winter wasn’t at all out of place. As a run up to the summers, the Show was a sneak peek of interesting ideas to look forward to.

“The cloth and materials used for the artfully-designed swimwear has been made with reusable products and extinguished materials of different states in India. It has a strong connection with elements of pan-India ethnicity as well as local heritage,” says Malobika Banerjee of Sky Crew – actor, pop queen, singer, songwriter. She added that fashion is not only for looking gorgeous, it should be a huge social responsibility which affects society in very positive ways.

“Feminism isn’t about making women stronger. Women are already strong, it is about changing the way the world perceives their strength. Today’s event is an attempt to create a domino effect, to bring a change in the perspective on how women are looked upon at on the basis of their lifestyle and clothing. In this event, that is exactly what we plan to achieve, and hence the theme – `Amar Poshak Amar Decision’ – becomes relevant,” says fashionista and entrepreneur, Anita Dutta, CEO, Aneebee Entertainments.

The sundowner Show drew tinsel town celebs and fashion aficionados in good measure who rubbed shoulders with other eminent Kolkatans and young fashion wannabes and professionals.

The event was high in terms of not only the glamour quotient but also for its focus on social issues pertaining to women and also fashion and sustainability. It was also iconoclastic in advocating the voice for freedom of outfit for women; uphold the dignity of choice for women.

Hon Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari Confers Vaastu Mahaguru Basannt R Rasiwasia With The Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar National Award For Contribution To India Through Revaastu

The prestigious Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar National Contribution Awards 2023 at Raj Bhavan Mumbai saw Shri Bhagat Singh Koshyari Honourable Governor of Maharashtra, present the Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar National Awards for Contribution to India to a chosen few dedicated Indians.

Vaastu Mahaguru Basannt R Rasiwasia was conferred with the Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar National Award for Contribution to India through ReVaastu by the Hon Governor at the event.

Basannt R Rasiwasia has dedicated his life to the propagation of Vaastu, the astroscience of happiness and prosperity that comes down from Lord Vishwakarma. Basannt R Rasiwasia has dedicated his life to spreading the energies of Vaastu Shastra among the masses using technology that crosses the barriers of caste, creed and social status.

Basannt R Rasiwasia has created an app “revaastu”, where one can click a picture of their room and check and correct basic and simple Vaastu requirements like main door, living room, master bedroom, children’s room, study, kitchen, temple, staircase, toilets, locker, mirror and shoe rack placement for themselves. His next mission is to create a second app where one can check the Vaastu at blueprint level itself.

“My life changed when I learnt Vaastu. I want people to stop looking outside for positivity from other cultures. When we have it in abundance in our India itself. This empowering app is to help every Indian better his energies at home itself, and that is the need of the hour,” avers Basannt R Rasiwasia who has earlier been conferred the Swayambhu Vishwakarma Astroyogi Award by MEGA Foundation.

He is known for his involvement in girl child education, helping in marriage of orphan girls, and cremation of unclaimed bodies from morgues and hospitals during Covid.

Instituted by the Dhammadan Trust and the Perfect Woman Magazine, Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Award was organised by Dr Geet S Thakkar, Chandramani Jadhav and Pravin More and held at Raj Bhavan.

Uday Singh’s Gun Tour Blazes Into India

Having gained unique access to the most sophisticated guns and military technology for a global superpower, 27-year old Uday Singh launched his YouTube GUN TOUR channel, showcasing everything from tanks, armoured vehicles, firearms, jets and other military equipment and engineering.
The channel shows you how to shoot at the latest greatest Kalashnikov guns, drive in the Armageddon BMP-3 tank, train with a paramilitary in bootcamp, as well as experience some non-military tech like flying in a private 2-seater jet at 5G and skydiving.
The host and founder of the channel, Mr. Singh, comes from an Indian military family and shares his inspiration. “I grew up in a military family – most of my Uncles and grand Uncles were in the Indian army. I loved shooting beer bottles in my farmhouse and am fascinated with military equipment.”
Uday, who hails from Chandigarh, completed his Bachelor’s degree in Moscow and remained there afterwards. He explained the birth of the channel, “People are fascinated by military equipment and engineering – my friends and I thought there’s a unique opportunity to showcase that in a YouTube channel. Amazingly, when we reached out to manufacturers, they were open to making it happen – and so Gun Tour was born! We’ve had some crazy experiences during our shoots, risking everything to get crazy angles and footage.”
The channel goes beyond just the engineering and technology.  Uday explains, “I studied here and love the country, so I travel to discover new places, try exotic food, meet interesting people and have a lot of fun. That’s an inspiring cultural experience that I’m glad to share with my homeland.”

Ustad will live forever through Warren Pereira’s Tiger 24

If Ustad were a man, Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan or Akshay Kumar would have died to play his role! Sadly, Ustad was only our national animal, a tiger, and hence labelled a man-eater and sentenced to a solitary life away from his mate and children.
Warren Pereira organized a talk on his award-winning documentary with environmentalist Bittu Sahgal, Green Footprint Ambassador of Make Earth Green Again MEGA Foundation Rupali Suri and Earth Activist Dr Anusha Srinivasan Iyer. The documentary, titled, Tiger 24 follows the path of the tiger Ustad through an unimaginable journey respite with heroism, romance, action and a rollercoaster of emotions.
India’s most awaited wildlife documentary, Warren Pereira’s Tiger 24, in the theatres as a limited release, can change the future of tiger conservation in India. Mumbai’s AA Films has picked up India theatrical rights of the film which has been released in theaters and digital platforms in North America but now comes home to India. At the Jaipur International Film Festival, the film was lauded and awarded, and now entices audiences to traverse the journey of Tiger 24, a wild tiger who kills men who enter his territory, then being declared a man-eater and locked up in a zoo. This galvanizes massive social uproar and activists to take their cause to the streets, online, on billboards and all the way to the High Court and Supreme Court.
Tiger 24 has earlier won the Panda Award at the 2022 Wildscreen Festival and was a finalist at the 2022 Jackson Wild Media Awards, where previous winners include My Octopus Teacher. The film also claimed Best Documentary at the 2022 Burbank International Film Festival. Pereira served as the film’s Director and Producer, with The Gotham Group’s Ellen Goldsmith-Vein and Jeremy Bell exec producing alongside Eagle Egilsson, Howard Barish, Zach Mann and Stephen Nemeth.

Mumbai-based documentary photographer Padma Shri Sudharak Olwe’s Firefly, an exhibition of photographs, artefacts and performance, on ‘Lavani’ – a traditional dance form of Maharashtra opened at the Nine Fish Art Gallery in Byculla, Mumbai.
The exhibition was inaugurated by Vidya Balan, with attendees including celebrities, artists, journalists and curators alike, including Parvez Damania, Anup Jalota, Rupali Suri, Niharica Raizada, Vilas Shinde and Pablo Bartholomew among others.
The 45 photographs that are documented over 20 years by Sudharak Olwe attempt to capture the ‘lavanya’ (beauty), struggles and journey of the social lives of these folk artistes and look beyond the popular perception of the traditional dance form. “I want to share their art and life in my photos,” elaborated Sudharak, who still continues to document the Lavani artistes.
More about Sudharak Olwe, who has been marking a new global space for Indian photography, with exhibitions in Malmo (Sweden), Lisbon, Amsterdam, Los Angeles, Washington, Dhaka, Mumbai and Delhi among others. Olwe is known for his extraordinary work capturing in both rural and urban communities, presenting tales of resilience, courage, and change. In 2005, Olwe was one of the four awardees for National Geographic’s “All Roads Photography Program: In 2016, he received the Padma Shri, one of highest civilian awards awarded by the Government of India.
In the current exhibition, Sudharak Olwe’s timeless frames pay a tribute to this traditional art form that has contributed tremendously to the development of Marathi folk theatre. Prominent Lavani traditional folk artistes from Solapur were honoured at the event, the Lavani artistes shared their stories through their energetic performance as well. The proceeds helped the education of children of Lavani dancers.
Along with the photographs by Sudharak Olwe, artefacts curated by Gourmoni Das are also on display.
For the uninitiated, ‘Lavani’ is a traditional dance form that originated in Maharashtra in the 18th and 19th centuries. Lavani is performed on public stage, and is a performative tradition practiced by a certain set of communities consisting of interactive gestures, and songs and noted for its biting dialogues often toned with socio-political satire; the dancers are always agile and attentive to the audience’s reactions.
The exhibition was presented by Nine Fish Art Gallery & Dot Line Space Art Foundation.
