23 એપ્રિલ, 2023 – જેમ એન્ડ જ્વેલરી એક્સપોર્ટ પ્રમોશન કાઉન્સિલ (GJEPC) એ મુંબઈમાં ઈન્ડિયા જેમ એન્ડ જ્વેલરી એવોર્ડ્સ (IGJA) ની 49મી એડિશનનું આયોજન કર્યું હતું. ભારત સરકારના વાણિજ્ય અને ઉદ્યોગ, ગ્રાહક બાબતો, ખાદ્ય અને જાહેર વિતરણ અને કાપડ બાબતોના માનનીય મંત્રી તથા માનનીય મુખ્ય મહેમાન શ્રી પીયૂષ ગોયલે એવોર્ડ સમારંભ દરમિયાન 27 ટોચના જેમ અને જ્વેલરી નિકાસકારોને સન્માનિત કર્યા હતા. IGJA ની 49મી એડિશન GIA દ્વારા સંચાલિત હતી અને ECGC તેમાં સહ-ભાગીદાર હતું. મુંબઈમાં બેલ્જિયમના કોન્સ્યુલ જનરલ શ્રી ફ્રેન્ક ગિયરકેન્સ વિશેષ અતિથિ તરીકે ઉપસ્થિત રહ્યા હતા. આ પ્રસંગે GJPECના ચેરમેન શ્રી વિપુલ શાહ, GJPECના વાઈસ ચેરમેન શ્રી કિરીટ ભણસાલી, GJPECના PMBDના સહ-સંયોજક શ્રી નિલેશ કોઠારી તથા GJPECના એક્ઝિક્યુટિવ ડિરેક્ટર શ્રી સબ્યસાચી રે તથા અન્ય લોકો ઉપસ્થિત રહ્યા હતા.
ઈન્ડિયા જેમ એન્ડ જ્વેલરી એવોર્ડમાં પ્રેક્ષકોને સંબોધતા, માનનીય વાણિજ્ય અને ઉદ્યોગ મંત્રી શ્રીપીયૂષગોયલે જણાવ્યું હતું કે, “સમય ટેકનોલોજી, નવીનતા, આધુનિકતા અને ઉદ્યોગસાહસિકતાને પ્રતિબિંબિત કરે છે. અહીં હાજર આપણામાંના દરેક અને તમારા ઉદ્યોગના અન્ય હિતધારકો માટે તકને ઝડપવાનો સમય છે. જેમ વડા પ્રધાન મોદીએ કહ્યું હતું, યેહીસમયહૈ, સહીસમયહૈ. આ તે ક્ષણ છે અને વિશ્વ તમારા બધા તરફ જોઈ રહ્યું છે. મને ખાતરી છે કે તમારી ઉદ્યોગસાહસિકતાની ભાવના આધુનિક દુનિયા સાથે આધુનિક રીતે જોડાવાની તમારી ક્ષમતાઓ સાથે નવીનતા, નવા વિચારો, તમારી પ્રોડક્ટ અને બ્રાંડનું બજેટ બનાવવાની નવી રીતો, ટેક્નોલોજીનો ઉપયોગ કરીને નવી પ્રોડક્ટની ડિઝાઇન તૈયાર કરવી – હાલના કેસમાં લેબમાં તૈયાર કરાયેલા હીરા – મને ખાતરી છે કે તમે આ તકને ઝડપી લેશો અને સરકારે હાથ ધરેલી અનેક પહેલની મદદથી જેમ અને જ્વેલરી સેક્ટરની સાચી સંભાવનાઓને બહાર કાઢશો.”
તમામ મહાનુભાવોનું સ્વાગત કરતાં, GJEPCનાઅધ્યક્ષશ્રીવિપુલશાહે કેન્દ્રીય મંત્રી શ્રી પીયૂષ ગોયલજીને નાણાંકીય વર્ષ 2022-23 માટે ભારતમાંથી વેપારી માલ અને સેવાઓ બંનેને જોડીને કુલ નિકાસમાં 770 અબજ ડોલરની અભૂતપૂર્વ સિદ્ધિ બદલ અભિનંદન પાઠવ્યા હતા.
નાણાંકીય વર્ષ 2022-23 માટે નિકાસકારોની કામગીરી વિશે બોલતા, GJEPCનાઅધ્યક્ષશ્રીવિપુલશાહે જણાવ્યું હતું કે, “અમે ભારત સરકારના યુએઈ સીઈપીએ કરાર માટે અત્યંત આભારી છીએ જેના પરિણામે મધ્ય પૂર્વમાં સોનાની જ્વેલરીની નિકાસમાં અનેકગણો વધારો થયો છે. ભારતે યુએઈ સીઈપીએ પર હસ્તાક્ષર કર્યાના એક વર્ષની ઉજવણી કરવા માટે, GJEPC 5મી મે 2023 થી 365 દિવસનું ઈન્ડિયા જ્વેલરી એક્સ્પોઝિશન અથવા IJEX દુબઈ શરૂ કરશે.”
GJEPC એ 1975 માં ટોચના જેમ્સ અને જ્વેલરી નિકાસકારોને ઓળખવા માટે IGJA ની સ્થાપના કરી હતી. પસંદગીના માપદંડોમાં હવે નિકાસ પ્રદર્શન, મૂલ્યવર્ધન, રોજગાર સર્જન, આર એન્ડ ડીમાં નાણાંકીય વર્ષ રોકાણો અને અન્ય બાબતોનું ધ્યાન રાખવામાં આવે છે.
વિજેતાઓને તેમની શુભકામનાઓ આપતા વિપુલશાહે ટિપ્પણી કરી હતી કે “સ્વતંત્ર એજન્સી અર્નેસ્ટ એન્ડ યંગ દ્વારા એવોર્ડ વિજેતાઓની પસંદગી કરવામાં આવી હતી તે હકીકત તેમની સિદ્ધિઓમાં વિશ્વસનીયતા ઉમેરે છે. તમારી યોગ્ય માન્યતા એ તમારી સખત મહેનત અને સમર્પણનું પ્રતિબિંબ છે. હું તમને તમારા ભાવિ પ્રયાસો માટે શુભેચ્છા પાઠવું છું અને આશા રાખું છું કે તમે તમારા વ્યવસાયમાં ઉત્કૃષ્ટતા મેળવવાનું ચાલુ રાખશો અને અમારા ઉદ્યોગ માટે એક મજબૂત આધારસ્તંભ બની રહેશો.”

The new album “Dilwale Marte Hai” is now ready to rock the market. It is sung by Leslie Martin, a patriotic ex-serviceman and music lover and singer of Indian origin. He fought the war of 1971 in the army and was an excellent boxer. He had moved to Canada but his passion for music and the encouragement of his friends brought him back to India. He is going to release his music album soon for which he has many songs and well planned. Even at the age of seventy-one, he is very lively and cheerful.

संगीत एल्बम की दुनिया में निर्देशक करते हुए काफी व्यस्त रहने वाले डायरेक्टर –शंकर रेगर अब एक नया एल्बम दिलवाले मरते है ,अब मार्केट में आकर धूम मचाने को तैयार है | यूँ तो इस विडियो में नए कलाकारों को लिए गया है मगर इसके गायक लेस्ली मार्टिन एक देशभक्त पूर्व सैनिक और संगीत प्रेमी हैं और भारतीय मूल के गायक हैं। सेना में रहते हुए उन्होंने 1971 की लड़ाई लड़ी है। वे एक बेहतरीन मुक्केबाज (बॉक्सर) भी हैं। लेस्ली कनाडा में जाकर रहने लगे थे मगर संगीत के प्रति उनके जुनून और उनके दोस्तों के प्रोत्साहन ने उन्हें वापस भारत में खींच लाया। वह अक्सर भारत आते हैं और अलबम का निर्माण करते हैं जिसमें वह गायकी के साथ साथ अभिनय भी करते हैं।

दोनों गानों को लॉन्च करते हुए लेस्ली ने कहा कि भले ही तबुन दा इस दुनिया को छोड़कर चले गए मगर संगीत के रूप में उनकी स्मृति सदैव रहेगी। उन्होंने मुझसे खूब रिहर्सल कराया। मैं कनाडा में रहता हूँ लेकिन भारत आकर एक कलाकार के रूप में काम करना अच्छा लगता है। यहाँ तकनीशियन से लेकर पूरी टीम का भरपूर सहयोग मिलता है। मैं एक सैन्य अधिकारी रहा हूँ लेकिन मुझे गाने का शौक है। आगे और भी गाने गाऊंगा और लोग मुझे वीडियो में भी देखेंगे।
वीडियो निर्देशक शंकर रेगर ने बताया कि कोरोना काल में दौरान लॉकडाउन के पहले स्वर्गीय तबुन दा ने लेस्ली सर से मेरा परिचय कराया और कहा कि इनके साथ वीडियो करना है। फिर हमने साथ में शूटिंग किये और ट्यूनिंग बन गई। फिर कोरोना के बाद लेस्ली जी के दो गाने और डायरेक्ट किया। इन दोनों गानों की शूटिंग मुम्बई के पोद्दार कॉलेज और मनोरी में की गई है। लेस्ली अनुशासन का पालन करने वाले इंसान हैं लेकिन काम के समय सहजता और सरलता से पेश आते हैं।

A Mumbai based art promotional institution- Expopedia has showcased a group art exhibition of paintings, sculptures and prints at Cymroza Art Gallery, 72, Bhulabhai Desai Road, Breach Candy, Mumbai 400026 from 19th to 22nd April 2023 from 11 am to 7 pm.
The show was inaugurated by Chief Guest, Mr Hasmukh Shah, renowned Interior Designer and Hon. Chairman, IIID ( Indian Institute of Interior Designers) and Guest of Honor Mr. Gautam Naik, Senior architect and artist . The show has been curated by Aparimita Sapru, artist and curator . CHEMEXCIL crossed USD 30 billion of exports in organic & inorganic chemical sector for the FY23 of which USD 27 billion of exports were achieved from April 2022 to February 2023. CHEMEXCIL will focus on the emerging markets concept of renewable chemicalsnamed as “Green Chemicals” as well as Bio based Specialty chemicals and Renewable chemicals. CHEMEXCIL Chairman Mr. S. G. Mokashi announced this major development on the occasion of the Council in the presence of the Chief Guest Smt. Anupriya Patel and Guest of Honour, Padma Bhushan Professor M. M. Sharma; Vice Chairman Shri Abhay Udeshi; Past Chairman, Shri Ajay Kadakia; Dr. Satish Wagh, Chemical Panel Chairman; Shri S.G. On 31st March 2023, Hon’ble Commerce & Industry Minister Shri Piyush Goyal and Hon’ble Minister of State for Commerce and Industry, Smt. Anupriya Patel, had released the new Foreign Trade Policy 2023. The new FTP is dynamic and kept open ended to make amendments to facilitate the need of the industry. Hon’ble Commerce & Industry Minister Shri Piyush Goyal said in a message, “Under the dynamic leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, India has emerged as a reputed and reliable manufacturer and an international supplier of dyes & dye
intermediates, basic chemicals, agrochemicals, cosmetics and toiletries, castor oils, etc. Chemicals and petrochemicals sector has the potential to transform India into a global manufacturing hub. This is in line with the Hon’ble Prime Minister’s Shri Narendra Modi’s vision of Make in India for the World. I am sure that CHEMEXCIL will continue to act as a catalyst in fulfilling the Government’s commitment to encourage exports and surpass the
export growth achieved in the past. I urge exporters to utilise the emerging business opportunities by scaling-up their production and diversifying their product range in tune with the requirements of the domestic and global market. I congratulate all the award winners for their determined efforts in promoting our overall exports and wish CHEMEXCIL all the success in its future endeavours.”
Mr. S. G. Mokashi, Chairman, CHEMEXCIL, said, “CHEMEXCIL welcomed the new Foreign Trade Policy which is designed to facilitate greater trade, boost manufacturing, promote exports, further enable “ease of doing business” and also work towards making Indian Rupee a global currency, adding further impetus to India’s emergence as the global trading hub.”
Mr. Mokashi added, “The policy has also initiated to create an institutional mechanism at the State and District level to promote identified products and services, which will further help in giving boost to the MSMEs and creation of employment across all sectors of economy.”
India became as the preferred manufacturing destination for companies across the world. Supply chain disruption during pandemic period, has really opened the doors for Indian supplier to the world market,” said Mr. Mokashi.
“We need to maintain effluent load and protect environment. Therefore, we look for the sustainable products. Sustainability is the need of the hour. To minimize the time for obtaining permission from Pollution Control Board, we have taken up the issue with Hon’ble Minister of Environment Forest and Climate Change Shri Bhupendra Yadav ji, under his direction State Control Board has made favorable amendments, said Mr. Mokashi.
“Green Growth is one of the priority sectors in this year’s Union Budget Green Fuel, Green Energy, is one of important component. I would like to add that Bio based Specialty chemicals and Renewable chemicals are future of India with excellent growth prospects. The depleting fossil fuels and increasing greenhouse gas emissions are influencing to increase the need of Bio Material. In view of protection of Environment and increasing demand, the concept of renewable chemicals named as “Green Chemicals” are gaining the market share in Food processing, Pharmaceuticals, Textiles, Construction and coating sectors. Chemexcil members are also working on these directions,” said Mr. Mokashi.
To upgrade the process technology and to improve the productivity of chemicals, CHEMEXCIL intends to plug this gap through the development centers like UICT, IIT, NCL like institutes. Joint research programme will also help to improve the technology.
CHEMEXCIL is constantly discussing the issues related to trade with various concerned departments for the benefit of member exporters in order to achieve the goal of exports.
As regards Production Linked Incentives Scheme, CHEMEXCIL requested department in various meeting to include chemicals under PLI scheme to boost local manufacturing under ATMANIRBHAR BHARAT PROGRAMME.
CHEMEXCIL has conducted Buyer Seller meet at Korea, Japan and Taiwan with the help of Indian Consulate and received overwhelming response. Recently Govt of India has signed a Trade agreement with Australia, Ind-Aus ECTA and with UAE called India -UAE CEPA.
Chemical sector will be benefiting with these new agreements. Chemexcil is the first Council to take the trade delegates and organise the joint programme with Australian Business community with the help of Indian Embassy after India-Australia ECTA.
