Mumbai/Chiplun: Renowned social worker, sports administrator, education supporter and business leader Dr. Santosh Raosaheb Chavan has been honored with the prestigious “Bharat Gaurav Samman” National Award for his outstanding contributions in the fields of sports, social service and youth development. The award was conferred by Namaskar Group and Namaskar Foundation, New Delhi.
Dr. Chavan is currently serving as the Managing Director of Embossed Group. He previously worked as the Head of the Talent Hunt Department of IPL team Kings XI Punjab during 2014–15 and is also a former Maharashtra-level player. At present, he holds the important responsibility of Chief Selector at Mumbai University.
His contribution to social welfare has been remarkable. So far, he has supported the education of over 400 underprivileged children, helped more than 200 youths secure employment, and guided over 200 candidates into police recruitment through his Rudra Police Career Academy, Chiplun.
Dr. Chavan is the Founder President of Ansh Charitable Trust, Ratnagiri, and also serves as the Vice President of Jago Grahak Jago – Konkan Division. Under his mentorship, many young athletes have progressed to district, state, national and even IPL levels.
In recognition of his tireless efforts, Dr. Chavan has already been honored with 12 national and one international award.
Expressing his gratitude, he stated,“Such awards motivate us to move forward in life and serve society with greater dedication. I am deeply thankful to Namaskar Group and Namaskar Foundation, Delhi, for this honor.”
