12th January, Kolkata, 2023: The 24th CABLE TV SHOW 2023 Kolkata – one of the largest trade shows on digital cable television, broadband and OTT in India and the Saarc region – today paid rich tributes to Swami Vivekananda on his 160th Birth Anniversary at the Cable TV show and observed the National Youth Day with a live model as young Swami Vivekananda who was the cynosure of all eyes on the second day of the Show which drew record crowds.

Mr Pawan Jajodia, Chairman Exhibition, Mr K K Binani, Secretary and Mr Rajendra Prasad Agarwal, Vice-President, of Cable TV Equipments Traders & Manufacturers Association (CTMA) distributed booklets on Swami Vivekananda’s preachings to the visitors.

More than 10,000 cable operators, MSOs and representatives, traders, manufacturers, channel partners, distributors, broadcasters and Multi-System Operators (MSOs) from across India and overseas are expected to visit the CABLE TV SHOW 2023. Many seminars, quizzes, promos, B2B meetings take place on the sidelines of the Show. Also, eminent citizens of Kolkata, VIPs and celebrities from the entertainment world visit the Show.

On this occasion, the birthday of singer and actress Aashika Kundnani was also celebrated by cutting a magnificent cake Singer Aashika Kundnani’s first music video “Ranjhna” was grandly launched at Love & Latte in Mumbai. Composer of the song Ritu Johri, Lyricist Richa Johri, Producer Ravi Kundnani, Jeetu Shankar (GBN Entertainment) and video director sumeet Ranjan were present on the occasion.
Many celebrity guests were also present here, in which music composer Sameer Sen, music composer Nikhil Kamat, comedian VIP, singer Divya Kumar are notable. Presented by Ritu Prabha Productions and Jeetu Shankar (GBN Entertainment) the launch event of this beautiful song also celebrated the birthday of singer and actress Ashika Kundnani by cutting a beautiful cake.
Ashika Kundnani told that the song Ranjhna is very good, in which my character and look is very different. Since childhood, I have been fond of singing, I have done proper training for it. Performing this song was challenging for me as I had to act along with singing in it. But I am thankful to director sumeet Ranjan that he got me to do this work in the best way. I feel happy when I see myself on screen. This song has been shot in the desert of Jaisalmer.
Ashika further said that I thank all the guests who came on the occasion of the launch of my first video, music composer Sameer Sen, music composer Nikhil Kamat, comedian VIP, singer Divya Kumar. The song is about a girl who is out in search of her beloved, it is a Sufi song with emotions and pain in it.”
Ashika has inherited the talent of singing. She considers Guru Ritu Johri as her favorite singer, teacher and mentor.
Composer Ritu Johri told that at an early age Ashika has a passion for singing. There is a strange drawl in her voice. One day she was humming a Sufi song which impressed me a lot and I felt that Ashika’s first song should be a Sufi song. In this way the song Ranjhna was composed and everything went on as it was.
All the guests music composer Sameer Sen, composer Nikhil Kamat (Nikhil Vinay), comedian VIP, singer Divya Kumar praised Ashika’s voice and wished her many best wishes for her first song.

On this song launch, actor director Manav Sohal while talking to the media said that we could have launched this song at a bigger place in Mumbai, we had launched the first song at PVR, but I wanted this song to be launched at that place in Bhiwandi, where this film has been shot. We spent months shooting at this place and there was a lot of cooperation from the people here and Mahendra Gaikwad ji in this shooting. It would have been difficult to shoot without their support. People also know Mahendra Gaikwad by the name of MG, he also played an important role of Anna in this film.
Shravani Goswami said that Mumbali is a great song, it has become a buzz since its release. There is no other song by this name.

This film is not a biopic of Raj Kapoor but a story of a fan of Raj Kapoor. An attempt has been made to present Raj Kapoor’s ideology on screen. His thinking was very simple, he used to play the character of common man with great ease. He used to give great importance to love, relationships, brotherhood, humanity. Entire shooting of the film has been shot at the real location of Bhiwandi and all the characters in the film have been selected on the basis of their performances.
It is worth mentioning that this film is jointly produced by Mukesh Sharma, Arpit Garg of Brandex Entertainment, co Producer Arshad Siddiqui and Sahil Malik. The music of this film has been released on Brandex Music.

This film, which is going to be directed by Rajeev Chaudhary, will fill the audience with suspense and thrill with love story. The film will be shot in March at various locations in London.

Mumbai-based documentary photographer Padma Shri Sudharak Olwe’s Firefly, an exhibition of photographs, artefacts and performance, on ‘Lavani’ – a traditional dance form of Maharashtra is on at the Nine Fish Art Gallery in Byculla, Mumbai from January 12, 6pm.
The 45 photographs that are documented over 20 years by Sudharak Olwe attempt to capture the ‘lavanya’ (beauty), struggles and journey of the social lives of these folk artistes and look beyond the popular perception of the traditional dance form. “I want share their art and life in my photos,” elaborates Sudharak who still continues to photograph the Lavani artistes.
More about Sudharak Olwe, who has been marking a new global space for Indian photography, with exhibitions in Malmo (Sweden), Lisbon, Amsterdam, Los Angeles, Washington, Dhaka, Mumbai and Delhi among others. Olwe is known for his extraordinary work capturing in both rural and urban communities, presenting tales of resilience, courage, and change. In 2005, Olwe was one of the four awardees for National Geographic’s “All Roads Photography Program: In 2016, he received the Padma Shri, one of highest civilian awards awarded by the Government of India.
In the current exhibition, Sudharak Olwe’s timeless frames pay a tribute to this traditional art form that has contributed tremendously to the development of Marathi folk theatre. Prominent Lavani traditional folk artistes from Solapur will be honoured at the event the Lavani artistes will share their stories through their energetic performance as well.
The proceeds will help education of children of Lavani dancers.
Along with the photographs by Sudharak Olwe, artefacts curated by Gourmoni Das will also be on display.
For the uninitiated, ‘Lavani’ is a traditional dance form that originated in Maharashtra in the 18th and 19th centuries. Lavani is performed on public stage, and is a performative tradition practiced by a certain set of communities consisting of interactive gestures, and songs, and noted for its biting dialogues often toned with socio-political satire The dancers are always agile and attentive to the audience’s reactions.
